1st WSOB HEADS UP CHAMPIONSHIP – MOCHY WINS IN THE BATTLE OF THE SUPREMOS
2009 World Champion ‘Mochy’ Mochizuki defeated the remarkable German pro, Jurgen Orlowski 3 sets to 1 in their 11 point match series. Orlowski had been ahead in the 3 of 4 but Mochy was fortunate to stay in the hunt. Both players played to an incredibly high standard with error rates of 2 – 4 throughout and more than 100 players watched from the 'rail' with expert commentary by Paul Weaver and Chris Bray. CUBEY WUBEY RACE
The first Cubey Wubey Race has been a success and has seen 70 players and 1000s of entries into daily freerolls and our Weekly Finals where the Winner gets a WSOB doubling cube and everyone fights for points in the Race. Now with one week to go Greenwitch1 is in pole position in the Race for the €100 added money, a place in the new Cubey Wubey Hall of Fame and with certainty of a place in the top 12 who qualify for the knockout draw Play-Offs and a chance to win a new WSOB Crisloid backgammon board. Play-offs take place on Sunday February 27th. Cubey Wubey 2 will start the week after the Play-offs i.e. week commencing February 28th.
