it is a pleasure for us to invite you to the upcoming 20th MITTELEUROPA BACKGAMMON CHAMPIONSHIP, scheduled at the Grand Casino Baden (Im Kurpark – Kaiser-Franz-Ring 1 – Baden bei Wien - Austria - www.baden.casinos.at) from 31st August till 4th September, 2011 (main event 2nd, 3rd and 4th September, 2011). It's the traditional tournament scheduled early September in the heart of Mitteleuropa: Baden bei Wien! One of the best casinos in Austria!

These are the main points of the schedule:
* 100% of all entry fees will be returned to the players;
* Time clocks will not be used during this event, except when a specific match is unduly delaying the tournament. However, by mutual agreement both players may use a clock;
* The public random draw will be conducted manually;
* All matches will be played on professional Rizzello & Romagnoli tournament boards, cleaned and disinfected;
* On Wednesday 31st August, 2011 at 16:00 tournament play commences with opening rounds in the Warm-up (free-of charge - for registered players only), Rizzello & Romagnoli Trophy (free-of-charge - for WBF supporters only), Quarter Entries, One Point Matches and Jackpots;
* On Thursday 1st September, 2011 at 15:00 play continues in the Warm-up (second part - free-of charge - for registered players only), Rizzello & Romagnoli Trophy (second part - free-of-charge - for WBF supporters only). At 21:30 play commences in the MITTELEUROPA DOUBLES CONSULTING CHAMPIONSHIP;
* On Friday 2nd September, 2011 at 20:00 we will host the Welcoming Cocktail followed by commencement of the Main Tournament;
* On Saturday 3rd September, 2011 at 14:00 Main and Progressive Consolation events are scheduled. The Ladies Tournament and Super-Jackpot will also begin;
* On Sunday 4th September, 2011 at 13:00 the Finals and Last Chance Tournament will be played followed by the Baden Dinner Party and Awards Ceremony.
